APC Rate

Trends in Plant Biology offers APC waivers during the 2024-2027 calendar years.

Trends in Plant Biology levies an Article Processing Charge for each accepted article. Only accepted papers will be charged. Authors whose manuscripts are accepted for publication are responsible for the APC payment. 

The evaluation of your submission for publication will remain unaffected by any request for fee support, including discounts or waivers.

Waivers

Starting in 2025, Trends in Plant Biology offers full APC waivers to corresponding authors based in Least Developed Countries as listed by the United Nations (https://unctad.org/topic/least-developed-countries/list). Additionally, full or partial waivers may be granted to authors experiencing financial hardship. Waiver or discount requests should be submitted during the article submission process and must be indicated at the time of submission.
